First day.

Right, after a long day travelling yesterday we have finally arrived in Louisville, Kentucky, at 7.30 (local time) last night. We were on the road since 5.30am yesterday till 12.30 UK time, taking three separate flights to get here. It was all painless enough , even customs was fine contrary to what I had been told. We even got a glimpse of the volcano that has been causing all the flight trouble out the window of our plane, as well as the New York sky line.

When we arrived, weary and a little bit disorientated we were given a very warm welcome from Prospect rotarians Bill and John. They took us to our hotel for the night where we dropped of our bags, then of for a meal at Mitchell's sea food restaurant, the food was fantastic. There we were joined by Pam's hosts Priscilla and Hugh.

After catching up on sleep and a massive breakfast we are just about to go and meet our host families, then is of the the races for the day at the Churchill Downs. I can't wait.

Tom
